The government announced that all Indian citizens over the age of 18 can now receive the Kovid-19 vaccine in India from May 1, 2021. The entire Kovid-19 vaccination campaign in India is digital from the registration process until the commencement of vaccination. Here is a detailed step-by-step process for obtaining Kovid-19 which includes online registration for the vaccine, scheduling an appointment and downloading the vaccine certificate.
Note: Due to the huge demand for vaccines, obtaining slots may not be easy. But your chances are better with a booked appointment than a walk-in.
You can register for the Covid-19 vaccine by logging into “www.cowin.gov.in”. Enter your mobile number to receive OTP for verification via SMS. Click the ‘Verify’ button to complete the registration process.
After registering on the CoWIN website, a new Vaccination Registration ‘Immunization’ page will appear. Enter photo ID type, photo ID proof number, name, date of birth, gender and other details. After this, click on the Register button. You will get the required details about the vaccination through SMS. Check the details properly. At the time of registration for the vaccine, you will get a beneficiary reference ID, save this ID.
You can add up to 3 more people connected to the same account on the CoWIN website. To do so, click the ‘Add more’ button at the bottom right of the account details page. To register them for vaccination you will need to enter the same details as other people.
Go to www.cowin.gov.in on any web browser. Scroll down and you will see a map and dialog box with / Enter place / address / eLoc. Enter the location details and press the Go button.
